Basic Study of Synchronization in a Two Degree of Freedom, Duffing Based System
(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej ; Katedra Dynamiki Maszyn - Wydział Mechaniczny Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2015) Dąbrowski, Artur; Mnich, Konrad; Stefański, Andrzej
The issue of synchronization has been analyzed from many points of view since it was first described in 17th century. Nowadays the theory that stands behind it is so developed, it might be difficult to understand where it all comes from. This paper reminds the key concepts of synchronization by examination of two coupled Duffing oscillators. It describes also the origins of Duffing equation and proves its ability to behave chaotically.

Synchronization of mechanical oscillators excited kinematically.
(Polskie Towarzystwo Mechaniki Teoretycznej i Stosowanej, 2008) Perlikowski, Przemysław
In this paper, the behaviour of a system of coupled mechanical oscillators excited kinematically was studied numerically. Several methods of detection of synchronization were shown and advantages of each were mentioned. The relation between Lyapunov exponents and the synchronization state under different kinds of the excitation signal (harmonic, periodic and chaotic ones) was presented. It was demonstrated that the mode locking with excitation was dependent only on inner damping and completely uncorrelated with the connection between oscillators.

Synchronization of two forced double-well duffing oscillators with attached pendulums.
(Polskie Towarzystwo Mechaniki Teoretycznej i Stosowanej, 2013) Brzeski, Piotr; Karmazyn, Anna; Perlikowski, Przemysław
We investigate the dynamics of two coupled Duffing oscillators with attached pendulums forced kinematically by a common signal. Our attention is focused on different kinds of synchronization which can appear in the considered system. Different types of coupling (spring, damper and spring and damper simultaneously) are taken into account. We show in a two-parameters space (amplitude and frequency of excitation) existence of complete and phase synchronization and asynchronous ranges.

Coupling multistable systems: uncertainly due to the initial positions on the attractors.
(Polskie Towarzystwo Mechaniki Teoretycznej i Stosowanej, 2014) Kuźma, Patrycja; Kapitaniak, Marcin; Kapitaniak, Tomasz
We consider the coupling of multistable nonidentical systems. For small values of the coupling coefficient the behavior of the coupled system strongly depends on the actual position of trajectories on their attractors in the moment when the coupling is introduced. After reaching the coupling threshold value, this dependence disappears. We give an evidence that this behavior is robust as it exists for a wide range of parameters and different types of coupling. We argue why this behavior cannot be considered as a dependence on the initial conditions.

Synchronizacja systemów zawieszonych na elastycznej strukturze.
(Stowarzyszenie Inżynierów i Techników Mechaników Polskich, 2010) Chudzik, Agnieszka
Obliczenia przeprowadzono MES, wykorzystując profesjonalny pakiet programu ANSYS.
