Abstract

The study focuses on niche fields which will be the subject of management and knowledge protection that appears in them. It is against this background that the author will try to answer questions arising: what affects knowledge management in niche fields and what does efficiency in spread of innovation depend on? Arriving at answers will be based on a cognitive approach that will help to understand factors of this complex process better and on an application approach that will use certain tools enabling to steer the process. The analyses presented in the study refer to definitions of niche fields and specific phenomena that lead to relevant information necessary to steer this process. It is already evident because the end of one process is usually the beginning of a new theory providing new value. Search for answers to posed questions and review of working hypotheses was performed by studying concepts, findings of Polish and foreign authors and my own research conducted in the years 2012-2014, which is to some degree the continuation of the research initiated in the doctoral dissertation of the author.(...)
