Pozycja Design of a new sensor to improve accuracy of ECT images(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2009) Liu, Z.; Babout, Laurent; Banasiak, Robert; Sankowski, DominikElectrical capacitance tomography (ECT) has been successfully applied in many industrial fields. However, the resolution of ECT still needs to be improved so that it can be used in a wider scope. As a first attempt to overcome this drawback, a new design is presented as a prototype system for improving the resolution based on rotation of the sensor. y keeping the number of electrodes constant, the image quality may be enhanced by making additional measurements at different angles.Pozycja Silo emptying in aspect of the non-desctructive detection methods application(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2009) Niedostatkiewicz, Maciej; Chaniecki, Zbigniew; Sankowski, DominikThe paper presents results of concentration measurements in non-cohesive sand during free flow in rectangular and cylindrical silos using different non-invasive methods like thermography, X-ray photography, X-ray tomography and electrical capacitance tomography. The effect of the initial bulk solid density and roughness of silo walls on the concentration changes were investigated. Advantages and disadvantages of all presented methods were outlined. The possibility of application of the Electrical Capacitance Tomography (ECT) for observation the porosity changes of the bulk solid was pointed out.Pozycja Measurement of dynamic pulsations in bulk solid during silo discharging using ECT method(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2009) Grudzień, Krzysztof; Chaniecki, Zbigniew; Niedostatkiewicz, Maciej; Romanowski, Andrzej; Sankowski, DominikPaper will focus on the results of tests with the slender cylindrical silo emptied both gravitationally and in controlled manner. The influence of the initial density, wall roughness, height and velocity on the emptying process will be presented. During tests values of the vertical and horizontal accelerations on the silo wall were measured, the effect of the outlet velocity and level of the dynamic effects were compared. Results will be presented in the form of continuous graphs, which allow to analyse the entire process in simpler way comparing to tomographic images form. It is a better form of presentation in order to work out settings for process control, as well.Pozycja Non-flow-pattern dependent method study for velocity profile estimation using a electrical capacitance tomography(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2009) Sankowski, Dominik; Mosorov, VolodymyrThis paper presents an study of the non-flow-pattern dependent method permitting a solid velocity field to be unambiguously calculated with higher robust using a twin-plane electrical capacitance system. It is based on a spectrum analysis of the pixel values of both cross-sections of the tomographic system. The numerical results of flow velocity measurement using the proposed method against the correlation method are presented.
