Pozycja Optimization of ECT sensor using genetic algorithm(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2010) Bradinsky, Konstantin; Sankowski, Dominik; Banasiak, RobertIn this paper the optimization process of 8-electrode cylindrical Electrical Capacitance Tomography sensor with two types of inter-electrode shields has been presented. The aim is to obtain maximum uniformity of the sensitivity maps of the sensor, while keeping the mutual capacitances between the electrodes above a predefined level. The optimization method used is a Genetic Algorithm. As results, optimum dimensions for the gap, shield, mounting pipe and insulation arefound.
