Pozycja Euroregion in the role of management of structural aid and as a natural cluster(Wydawnictwa Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2016) Greta, MariannaThis paper concerns the institutional and organizational structure of the Euroregion. It is multi-level and affects the functioning of the Euroregions, including, but not limited to, organized approach to the use of structural aid under the regional policy of the European Union (EU). The highest level of the organization is the Association of European Border Regions (AEBR), which lobbies for Euro-regions within the EU and provides professional services for broadly understood regional action. In turn, the Euroregion itself is also organized by having institutions. However, it is not a direct description of functions of these institutions but a presentation of results of empirical studies, including respondents’ knowledge about the EC and EP functioning. In the study the following thesis were verified: awareness and knowledge of the EU institutions is greater in the border regions because of participation in the process of euroregionalisation; level of knowledge about the integration is related to education, the higher and more comprehensive it is, the greater the understanding of the institutionalization of integration; residents of urban areas have greater knowledge about integration than people who live in rural areas.Pozycja Euroregion Beskidy jako stymulator rozwoju - analiza na przykładzie turystyki(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2015) Greta, MariannaThe study includes three parts, i.e. one generał and two detailed. In the generał part a tourism was described as the branch of economy, kinds and functions of the tourism according to the euroregional aspect. The detailed part is regarding to the Beskidy Euroregion and its' developmental specificity and activities of the EU structural assistance in the form of selected proj ects of the touristic relevancy and character. Creating at the joint border of three countries (Poland - the Czech Republic - Slovakia) structure of the peripheral area euroregion which has chances to include, through the tourism, into the realization challenges of smart specialisation.
