„Aby drogę mierzyć przyszłą, trzeba pomnieć skąd się wyszło” – tymi słowami Cyprian Kamil Norwid chciał uświadomić nam wielkie znaczenie przeszłości, którą traktować należy jako drogowskaz do budowania dobrej i bezpiecznej przyszłości. Zgodnie z tym mottem, by zrozumieć integrację europejską, jej cele, sens istnienia, a także konieczność jej kontynuacji i pogłębiania, należy powrócić do źródeł Wspólnot Europejskich. Zaś tymi źródłami są doktryny Ojców Europy oraz pozostałych „konstruktorów” i realizatorów europejskiego procesu integracji, ludzi, których wyobraźnia intelektualna wykraczała ponad wąskie widzenie interesów narodowych.
EU - Armenia cooperation within the Eastern Partnership and its impact on Armenian economy

The European Union has actively engaged itself in cooperation with its Eastern neighbours. The Eastern Partnership is a concept of political cooperation and economic integration in the future with six countries – Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. Republic of Armenia regards this programme as a framework for improving its market institutions and judicial system and for creation of business opportunities. Although Armenia decided not to sign the Association Agreement and join the Russia-led Eurasiatic Customs Union, there is still room for cooperation with the EU on a sector-by-sector basis. The paper is divided in three parts. The first one describes the history of the Armenian cooperation with the European Union within the Eastern Partnership. The second part deals with the barriers and opportunities for mutual cooperation. The last part shows the changes in the Armenian economy during the last decade.
Proces decyzyjny i zarządczy w Unii Europejskiej – znaczenie systemu agencyjnego

This study has been devoted to the agency system of the European Union and its place and role in the decisional and management process of this integration grouping. The content of this monograph has been divided into six chapters – five of them describe the EU agencies; chapter I has an introductive character and presents the description of the EU institutional system. In the following chapters (i.e. II, III, IV, V and VI) one can find a detailed description of a genesis, organizational structure, goals and functions of the Community agencies, foreign policy and security agencies, agencies for domestic affairs and judicature and executive agencies. To illustrate goals and functions, the decisional and management activities of the EU agencies have been presented as a decentralized structures supporting EU institutional system, member states and their citizens. The deepening of the integration process has caused, that the agencies have become an indispensible element of the whole institutional system. The agencies have been entrusted with numerous and various tasks depending on the agency`s type. In this way they secure a sophisticated knowledge, beginning from the quality of our professional life and environment, through basic rights, services for the society and the industry, finishing on security, justice and application of the structural aid. All these issues are present in this monograph.
