Interactive Knitted Textiles for Preschool Children

Abstract

This work aimed to design and implement an interactive educational tool for preschool children. This tool takes the form of a knitted blanket featuring a cat and dog, which responds to the child's touch with a sound signal imitating animal sounds. The developed intelligent toy contains an electronic module integrated into the textile structure, enabling active user interaction with the product. The work focused on assessing the potential of this type of solution as an innovative development direction for toy and clothing manufacturers, with particular emphasis on structural durability and the possibility of repair and reuse. The results indicate the significant potential of integrating electronic functionalities with textiles in the design of sustainable, interactive educational and sensory products.
