Pozycja Comparison of Selected Algorithms Solving Vehicle Routing Problem with Simultaneous Delivery and Pickup(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2021) Michalik, Maciej; Ochelska-Mierzejewska, JoannaThe Vehicle Routing Problem is a widely known combinatorial optimization problem. A particular variant of this problem is Vehicle Routing Problem with Simultaneous Delivery and Pickup (VRPSDP). In this paper, two metaheuristics are compared in the context of solving the VRPSDP - the Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Ant Colony Optimization (ACO). Both implemented algorithms are hybridized using local search operators. Implemented algorithms are tested using well known Dethloff dataset. The final results show that, in general, ACO gives more accurate results than GA, but it is worse in terms of performance. The main reason for that is the difficulty of incorporating local search operators into the Genetic Algorithm.Pozycja The Evaluation of Text String Matching Algorithms as an Aid to Image Search(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2018) Ochelska-Mierzejewska, JoannaThe main goal of this paper is to analyse intelligent text string matching methods (like fuzzy sets and relations) and evaluate their usefulness for image search. The present study examines the ability of different algorithms to handle multi-word and multi-sentence queries. Eight different similarity measures (N-gram, Levenshtein distance, Jaro coefficient, Dice coefficient, Overlap coeffiient, Euclidean distance, Cosine similarity and Jaccard similarity) are employed to analyse the algorithms in terms of time complexity and accuracy of results. The outcomes are used to develop a hierarchy of methods, illustrating their usefulness to image search. The search response time increases significantly in the case of data sets containing several thousand images. The findings indicate that the analysed algorithms do not fulfil the response-time requirements of professional applications. Due to its limitations, the proposed system should be considered only as an illustration of a novel solution with further development perspectives. The use of Polish as the language of experiments affects the accuracy of measures. This limitation seems to be easy to overcome in the case of languages with simpler grammar rules (e.g. English).Pozycja System for logistics customer service(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2013) Ochelska-Mierzejewska, JoannaThe main principle of CRM is a customer oriented, consider the desires and expectations. It is necessary to in-depth analysis of the needs to improve the level of customer satisfaction. In this day where the consumeris better educated, it becomes more and more demanding – expect high quality customer service, accurate information and quick access to them. Knowing the customer perfectly there is a chance to meet his expectations and even exceed them, and thanks to this gain his trust and loyalty. We can provide them with exactly the product, which is expected, since we know his preferences, we are also able to provide him with good service and support. We save the budget because the firm keep focus on the customers who give the opportunity of cooperation and effort is not wasted on those who never takes advantage of our offer. The article aims to show what elements should appear in the customer management systems to store level, to provide better customer service, and to reduce the cost of its maintenance thanks to better warehouse management.
