dc.description.abstractArtykuł omawia cele i metody uspokojenia ruchu drogowego. Uspokojenie ruchu, które jest koncepcją urbanistyczną, która wywarta i wywiera istotny wpływ na kształtowanie struktur przestrzennych i systemów transportowych obszarów zurbanizowanych końca XX w. i początku XXI w. Uspokojenie ruchu ma cele różnorodne, w tym: poprawę bezpieczeństwa ruchu drogowego, zwiększenie dostępności obszaru, poprawę stanu środowiska, rewaloryzację funkcji społecznych przestrzeni publicznych oraz uporządkowanie i zarządzanie parkowaniem. Metody realizacji ww. celów są następujące: kształtowaniem zabudowy zwartej, rozwojem transportu publicznego i ruchu rowerowego oraz pieszego, trójczłonowo, sprzężoną metodą: polityką parkingową, ograniczeniami przepustowości, organizacją ruchu (zarządzeniem ruchem i parkowaniem w aspekcie uspokojenia ruchu), kształtowaniem oraz przebudowa ulic i dróg w aspekcie uspokojenia ruchu, podnoszeniem poziomu technicznego pojazdów motorowych, metodami finansowymi, kontrolami i sankcjami, działaniami informacyjno-edukacyjnymi (informacja, uwrażliwienie, kształcenie). Różnorodność metod realizacji celów, podobnie jak samych celów, podkreśla interdyscyplinarny charakter uspokojenia ruchu drogowego.pl_PL
dc.description.abstractThe article discusses the objectives and methods of traffic calming. Traffic calming, which is the urban concept, which has had and has a significant influence on the formation of spatial structures and systems of urban end of the twentieth century and early twenty-first century. Implementing traffic calming solutions to a variety of purposes, including: improving road safety, increasing the availability, environmental improvement, restoration of social functions, and cleaning of public spaces and parking management. Methods of implementation of the above aims are as follows: formation of a compact construction, die development of public transport and cycling and walking, coupled three-pronged method: the parking policy, capacity constraints, the organization of movement (traffic and parking ordinance in terms of traffic calming), forming and reconstruction of streets and roads in terms of traffic calming, improving the technical level of motor vehicles, financial methods, controls and sanctions, information and activities - education (information, awareness, education). The variety of methods to achieve them, like the same goals emphasizes the interdisciplinary nature of traffic calming.en_EN
