Pozycja Architektura synagogalna w Wielkopolsce na przykładzie synagog w Lesznie, Kępnie i Wyrzysku(Lodz University of Technology. Press, 2020) Światowy, Zuzanna; Kurek, JanThis text concerns history of synagogues in Greater Poland with case studies of Leszno, Kępno and Wyrzysk. The history of preservation of jewish heritage in Poland is outlined – from fi rst scientists, architects, and historians of art, till nowadays – Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland. The idea of synagogue's building is considered, with all necessary components, which evolved over the years. The history of Jews of Greater Poland is presented, including synagogues built by them. Press, 2020) Kurek, Jan; Klima, EwaThe article presents the author’s reflections on the canvas of his study trips around Europe. The considerations here focus mainly on understanding and feeling the concept of the sacred in architecture. Understood as a sphere of holiness, the sacred gradually changes its connotations – i.e. the meaning of the name. The link between the past and the present is internal emotion, felt individually or collectively in experiencing architecture – not just sacred.
