The surface tension is one of the parameters that describes the thermodynamics of
an interfacial reactions and the structure of newly created joint. The parameter of
surface tension is playing an important role in many industrial, engineering processes
with the contribution of fuild phase. The article is focused on the surface
tension measurement methods - the laying drop, maximum gas bubble pressure
and immersion. The measurement stands - computerised system for high temperature
measurement of surface properties Thermo WET and integrated platform for
automatic wettingforce and surface tension measurement at high temperatures - are
presented. Example results of the experiments on L-Ag5P braze are shown and
discussed.
