Abstrakt
Pomiary wysokościowe (niwelacja) są istotnym elementem geodezyjnej obsługi przestrzeni miejskiej. Dostarczają informacji o ukształtowaniu terenu, a w przypadku Łodzi, od chwili jej powstania jako miasto przemysłowe, wiedza wiązała się bezpośrednio z problemami gospodarki wodno-ściekowej. Zachowały się znaki (repery) zakładane do pomiarów przestrzeni miejskiej. Prowadzone przez autora badania sugerują ważne pytania: czy zachowane znaki wysokościowe (niektóre liczące przeszło sto lat) są zabytkami, a jeśli tak, to jakie kroki należy podjąć, by je chronić. W opracowaniu autor prezentuje niektóre spostrzeżenia z badań osnów wysokościowych miasta Łodzi.
Geodetic survey is an essential element of the geodetic service of urban space. It informs on the on the shape of terrain and in Łódź this kind of knowledge has been directly related to the problems of water-sewage management since the rise of the city as an industrial town. Some benchmarks established for the geodetic survey of urban space were preserved. The research made by the author suggests the following important questions: whether the preserved benchmarks (some of them over the hundred years old) are monuments and if so, then what steps should be taken for their protection. In the study some observations from the research on vertical control network in Łódź are presented by the author.
