Pozycja Building Energy Use Intensity Prediction with Artificial Neural Networks(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2023) Stokfiszewski, Kamil; Sztoch, Przemysław; Sztoch, Ryszard; Wosiak, AgnieszkaIn this paper the authors propose the construction and examine the performance of the artificial neural network for energy use intensity prediction for residential buildings. The network’s type is the standard multilayer perceptron and its training dataset contains the data of 768 residential buildings where the training pattern for an individual building consists of 8 parameters describing the building’s geometry along with its lighting and glazing conditions while the only output value is the building’s actual energy use intensity characteristics. Experimental study shows that the mean absolute percentage error of prediction of the energy use intensity evaluated for buildings data present in the network’s test set does not exceed 1.8%, what might be considered a highly satisfactory result.Pozycja Image filtering with past parametrized biorthogonal transforms implemented on a new GUI research aid system(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2013) Puchała, Dariusz; Stasiak, Bartłomiej; Stokfiszewski, Kamil; Yatsymirskyy, MykhayloIn this paper the authors show that fast parametrized biorthogonal transforms (FPBT) are well suited for adaptive generalized Wiener image filtering. Research results are obtained with a use of a new graphical user interface system for implementing various fast adaptive techniques, designed, implemented and published by the authors as a part of a project Innovative Economy Programme 2007-2013 „Platforma Informatyczna TEWI”.Pozycja Low-complexity approximation of 8-point discrete cosine transform for image compression(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2012) Puchała, Dariusz; Stokfiszewski, KamilIn this paper the authors propose a new low-complexity approximation of 8-point discrete cosine transform (DCT) that requires 18 additions and two bit-shift operations. It is shown that the proposed transform outperforms significantly the known transform of the same computational complexity when applied to a JPEG compression stream in practical cases of encoding and decoding of still images. As such, the proposed transform can be effectively used in any practical applications where significant limitations exist regarding the computational capabilities coding and / or decoding devices, i.e. mobile devices or industrial imaging devices.Pozycja Neuronowe realizacje szybkich zunifikowanych algorytmów obliczania przekształceń dyskretnych w kompresji obrazów(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2021) Stokfiszewski, Kamil; Kurzyński, Marek; Jacymirski, MichałW monografii przedstawiono szybkie zunifikowane algorytmy wyznaczania jedno i dwuwymiarowych dyskretnych przekształceń liniowych oraz ich neuronowe realizacje. Podstawowymi wyróżnikami tych algorytmów wśród innych metod obliczeniowych dla przekształceń dyskretnych są efektywność obliczeniowa równa rzędem znanym metodom szybkim wyznaczania transformat liniowych oraz ich wspólna i uniwersalna postać pozwalająca na obliczanie wielu różnych przekształceń przy pomocy jednolitej, regularnej i szybkiej zarazem struktury grafowej. Cecha ta sprawia, że przedstawione algorytmy mogą stanowić bazę konstrukcji efektywnych implementacji neuronowych metod optymalizacji dla różnorodnych, praktycznych problemów optymalizacyjnych, co zostało zademonstrowane na przykładzie zadania kompresji obrazów.
