Pozycja Ab initio investigation of ethanol-tetracene interactions during adsorption(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2018) Kania, Sylwester; Kościelniak-Mucha, Barbara; Słoma, Piotr; Wojciechowski, KrzysztofAb initio calculations presented in this work are performed to investigate the geometry, interaction energy and bonding properties of binary complexes formed between neutral ethanol and tetracene molecules. Two different geometries were applied for the study. The interaction energies between molecules in the complex posses minimum at the distance of about 3.6 A among oxygen atom in ethanol and the neighbouring carbon atom of tetracene skeleton.Pozycja Absorption enhanced currents in thin layers of low dimension organics(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2011) Kania, Sylwester; Kuliński, JanuszTransport processes enhanced by absorption of the volatile ethanol on the tetracene and p-quaterphenyl films are considered. Obtained results may approve chemisorption's mechanism with hydrogen bonding.Pozycja Activation processes for two chosen aromatic hydrocarbon materials(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2009) Kania, Sylwester; Kuliński, JanuszThe activation process and the transport process for electrons in the tetracene layers and holes in the p-quaterphenyl layers is considered. Obtained results may suggests the hopping transport through the localized states near the Fermi level as a dominant kind of transport. Observed dependence of the conductivity on the vapor concentration of the activator molecules may suggest that tetracene is better for utilization as a vapour sensors.Pozycja Active partition based medical image understanding with self-organised competitive spatch eduction(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2010) Pryczek, Michał; Tomczyk, Arkadiusz; Szczepaniak, PiotrMedical Image Understanding is a recently defined semantic oriented image recognition task. Its specific requirements, highlighting complex characteristics of recognised objects as well as indispensable use of human-level expert knowledge almost every step of data processing sets new requirements for implemented algorithms. This paper focuses on linguistic image description method, designed to segment low level, semantically coherent image regions and mine adjacency relations among them. Example method results on medical images are presented to specify some methods properties.Pozycja Active queue management with discrete sliding modes in TCP networks(Polska Akademia Nauk, Wydział IV Nauk Technicznych, 2014) Ignaciuk, Przemysław; Karbowańczyk, MichałIn this paper, a new active queue management (AQM) algorithm for data traffic control in TCP/IP networks is developed. The algorithm design is based on the principles of discrete sliding-mode control. Unlike majority of earlier studies, the design procedure considers the effects of both non-negligible delay in transferring data and feedback information and unpredictable capacity variations. The switching function is selected to incorporate a delay compensation mechanism, which ensures efficient network operation even for large bandwidthdelay product connections. The proposed algorithm, implemented as a packet marking scheme, is tested in discrete event ns-2 simulator. The results show that the algorithm provides fast convergence to steady state after sudden, unanticipated capacity changes. By generating smaller overshoots, the proposed algorithm also allows for reducing buffer space requirements to avoid packet loss as compared to the benchmark AQM solutions.Pozycja Administration of access control in information systems using URBAC model(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2011) Poniszewska-Marańda, AnetaSince the value of information is constantly growing more and more businesses are in need for information system to aid them with information gathering and processing. The most important issue that arises here is how to ensure safety of this data that may be held on servers, personal computers or PDAs. This is where access control comes in. The main role of access control is to ensure that no unauthorized user will be able to gain access to resources and be able to copy or modify them. The paper deals with the process of access control administration in information systems with the use of usage role-based control approach. The presented process is based on the role engineering concept that includes the creation of security schema of access control divided between two actors - application/system developer and security administrator. They realize their tasks during two main phases that allow to define the complete access control schema for information systems of an organization.Pozycja Adsorption induced hole transport in thin layers of non-ordered tetracene.(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2015) Kania, Sylwester; Kuliński, JanuszAdditional disorder induced by adsorption processes by the molecule of ambient are responsible for deep modulation of conductivity. Observations confirmed the dominated role of the increase of the free carrier concentration due to the increse the shallow trap concentration, for modulation of the conductivity.Pozycja Adsorption of ethanol to thin layer of acenes as a process of interconnected networks(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2013) Kania, Sylwester; Kuliński, JanuszThe activation process and the transport process for electrons in the tetracene layers and holes in the p-quaterphenyl layers is considered. Observed dependence of the conductivity on the vapor concentration of the activator molecules may suggests influence of collisions as a source of injection of charge through the surface potential barrier of adsorption. Applied model of two-body interactions in the interface of adsorption is approved on the basis of theory of area law for entanglement from exponential decay of correlations. Quantum description of adsorption of small hydrocarbon to the solid acenes involve only diagonal elements of the interaction matrix.Pozycja Affective Pathfinding in Video Games(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2018) Daszuta, Marcin; Wróbel, Filip; Rynkiewicz, Filip; Szajerman, Dominik; Napieralski, PiotrTo allow player submerge in created environment of a video game, agents called Non-Player Characters (NPCs) should act believably. One of the most vital aspect, in case of NPCs is pathfinding. There are a few methods that allow change path finding algorithms to become more human-like. Yet, those are not considering many vital aspects of human decisions regarding path choosing. The main purpose of this paper is to present known approaches and show example of a new approach that wider considers psychological aspects of decision making in case of choosing a path.Pozycja AI-driven Ecodriving and ETA Solutions for Truck Transport(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2023) Lipiński, Piotr; Morawski, Michał; Napieralski, Piotr; Nowok, Paweł; Zawiślak, Bartosz; Hojdys, Leszek; Lazar, Marcin; Lazarek, Przemysław; Zając, Norbert; Pizoń, Sylwester; Jakubiec, Rafał; Sienkiewicz, Jacek; Gołąbek, Sebastian; Kabocik, Mateusz; Fedrizzi, Szymon; Kuliga, Michał; Frączkiewicz, Mateusz; Malarz, Mirosław; Puchalski, Jarosław; Danysz, Ewa; Grajcarek, MaciejPozycja Algebra liniowa z elementami geometrii analitycznej(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2011) Jędrzejewski, Jacek M.; Poreda, Tadeusz; Red. nauk. An inverse Fraïssé limit for finite posets and duality for posets and lattices(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2022) Pawlikowski, MichałPozycja Analiza I. The analysis includes liquids belonging to ∞ ∞, ∞ 2 and ∞ Curie symmetry groups and the following phenomena were taken into account: natural optical activity, natural linear birefringence, dichroism, and the effects induced by an applied electric field – linear and quadratic electro-optic effects and linear and quadratic electrogyration. The presented example concerns numerical error analysis for measurement of the quadratic electro-optic effect in castor oil, which exhibits the symmetry ∞ 2 between a pair of plane-parallel electrodes.Pozycja Analytical kinetic block model of crystal-mother-phase multilayer interface.(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2015) Organiściak, Maciej; Izdebski, Marek; Ledzion, RafałSimple kinetic block model of multilayer crystal-mother-phase interface is proposed. The model leads to a system of differential equations which can be solved without the need to run Monte Carlo simulations. The proposed model is based on Bragg-Williams approximation (called also zeroth-order approximation), "solid-on-solid" assumption, and other assumptions common with thermodynamic Temkin model. Thus, it is possible to test the compliance of kinetic and thermodynamic approaches in a situation where all other significant differences between models are eliminated. Moreover, a comparison with the results of kinetic Monte Carlo simulations allows for better understanding of the impact of Bragg-Williams approximation.Pozycja Application available through the web page for simulation of the SH wave scattering by an elastic rigidly supported inclusions(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2013) Jemec, Włodzimierz; Rogowski, JanMathematical model of SH wave scattering by an elastic thinwalled rigidly supported inclusion is presented. The inclusion is replaced by the effective boundary condition that allow to simplify calculations of the scattered field significantly. Using the proposed model the problem is reduced to the system of hyper singular integral equations that is solved numerically. The numerical algorithm is implemented in the application that is available through the Web page and can be used as a tool in non destructive testing of elastic materials with thin plane rigidly supported inclusions of arbitrary stiffness.Pozycja Application of active contours with expert knowledge to heart ventricle segmentation(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2013) Tomczyk, ArkadiuszAutomatic heart ventricle segmentation in CT heart images can be an element of system supporting pulmonary embolism diagnosis. To solve that problem in this paper an application of two classical active contour models, snakes and geometric active contours, is proposed. The prepared implementation uses the unified model of those techniques which allows to define forces acting upon a contour only once. The nature of the images causes that the process of force construction requires additional expert knowledge since using only the information visible in the image satisfactory results cannot be obtained.Pozycja Application of electrooptic modulators for divergent light beam(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2009) Izdebski, MarekAnalysis of electrooptic modulators of the light strength working with divergent light beam is performed numerically employing the Jones matrices method. The approach allows to consider small inaccuracies in cutting and alignment of electrooptic crystal and the divergence of entering light beam. The results show that the divergence typical for gas lasers should not affect significantly the work of electrooptic modulators even for large electrooptic crystals, while diode lasers may be used with modulators only in the form of precise modules equipped with colimation optics.Pozycja Application of FussionClassify for data classification(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2013) Duraj, AgnieszkaIn the published articles and works there are solutions regarding data fusion. However, there is not any verification as for the efficiency of classifiers in the case of many sources of data given simultaneously. It is, seemingly, a very significant problem to be considered in the case of e.g. data fusion in intelligent traffic control. The intention of the author is to prepare the tools for classification of data which come from various sources. They can be sets (data files) prepared by the user of application, but they can also be one (or many) sets from the UCI machine learning repository (http://archive.ics.uci.edu/ml/).
