Pozycja Background subtraction algorithm for moving object detection(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2016) Saoud, Ayoub; Mosorov, Volodymyr; Grudzień, KrzysztofBackground subtraction technic is a very important part of computer vision applications for successful segmentation of objects from video sequences. In this paper, a segmentation method for moving object using automated moving object detection in a video image sequence based on background subtraction method. Noise is applied to assess the robustness of the algorithm. The background model method and adaptive thresholding is used to compute the foreground object detection mask. A reference frame is initiatly used and considered as background information. Experimental results, which demonstrate the system's performance, are also shown.Pozycja A load balancing system to protect servers against DDoS attacks(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2016) Mbarek, Fatma; Mosorov, VolodymyrA Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) aims at shutting down the services of intended servers with over-consumption of bandwidth or CPU processor and memory units, and considers the one of the hardest security problems in today's Internet. In this context, load balancing allows to distribute workloads among the processors, which provides a high protection in local area network (LAN) because it improves the quality of service and the performance. In this paper, we intend to present a load balancing system which is based on various algorithms and has as a main role to mitigate the impact of DDoS attacks.Pozycja Modeling and Identification Algorithms for Emerging Applications in Data and Signal Processing(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2015) Romanowski, Andrzej; Sankowski, Dominik; Tadeusiewicz, Ryszard; Sikora, Jan; Mosorov, VolodymyrComputerised systems pervade our everyday lives. We see computers everywhere we go. We wake up to the sound of an electronic alarm clock and go to sleep just after switching off the e-book reader. Academic research keeps pursuing solutions to more and more problems using computational methods. With so many new systems around us that attempt to solve so many problems, it becomes harder and harder to identify the truly valuable solutions. How does a modern engineer find what are the latest developments can affect their work? In this book, we provide research results in a variety of application domains that illustrate how computer science may contribute to solving engineering problems. We address a broad spectrum of applications including finance, computer networks, office environments and 3D graphics to show how versatile computer algorithms can be. We aim to stress that applied computer science produces best results when practiced as an interdisciplinary science in close cooperation with application domain specialists. We hope that this monograph will inspire many researchers and students to conduct new interesting activities to further advance the field of computer science. The readers are welcome to use the chapters of this book as starting points of extended discussions that may lead to new ideas and discoveries. We encourage interested readers to contact the authors to fuel the discussions with hands-on experiences and extended work.Pozycja Modelling and Identification Algorithms for Emerging Applications in Data and Signal Processing(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2014) Romanowski, Andrzej; Sankowski, Dominik; Tadeusiewicz, Ryszard; Sikora, Jan; Mosorov, VolodymyrComputerised systems pervade our everyday lives. It is based on a spectrum analysis of the pixel values of both cross-sections of the tomographic system. The numerical results of flow velocity measurement using the proposed method against the correlation method are presented.Pozycja Performance evaluation of multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) over IP(Wydawnictwo Politechniki Łódzkiej, 2016) Mbarek, Fatma; Mosorov, VolodymyrNetworks have evolved in terms of infrastructure and configuration incorporating new technologies and adapting them to take account of the need for technicality and compatibility with the rapid changes taking place in the world. MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching) is a versatile solution (based on QoS) to solve the problems addressed by the present networks like IP (Internet Protocol). In this chapter, we evaluate IP /MPLS networks in terms of performance, using several criteria of QoS. These criteria include: delay variation (average delay and delay), through put and loss rates. We evaluate through several types of flow (data, voice, video). To simulate IP/MPLS topology, we use the NS-2 simulator.
